A small chocolate factory with the same name Chocolat (Fraz. Entreves, 2 – La Thuile) is easy to find without a navigator – you still feel the sweet aroma at the entrances to the village of La Thuile, long before a green vintage sign appears in sight. The members of the Collomb family, the founders of the workshop, have been leading a sweet life for thirty years. Love Stories at Hotel Eden
The walls of the exquisite Roman Hotel Eden, owned by the Dorchester Collection, recall many romantic stories. In 1898, actress Eleanor Duse and writer, poet, and playwright Gabriel d’Annunzio stayed here, and one of the photographs of 1935 captures Marina de Bourbon, the mother of King Juan of Spain, who left Hotel Eden on her wedding day with the Prince of Asturias.
