Abercrombie & Fitch Comes To Sicily
On October 17, the first in Europe outlet of clothes and accessories from the famous American youth brands Abercrombie & Fitch and Hollister opens in the Sicilia Outlet Village shopping and entertainment complex.
Sicilia Outlet Village shopping center is a project of the Italian development company Arcus Real Estate. Thanks to the successful interaction between Italian Arcus and American A&F, the only European store to open collections selling clothing under the Abercrombie & Fitch brand of past seasons at discounted prices will be opened. Recognizable logos in the form of a deer or a seagull are a distinctive attribute in the clothes of advanced youth around the world.
Under the historical brand Abercrombie, founded in New York at the end of the 19th century by David Abercrombie, professional sports goods were sold for outdoor activities and extreme tourism. Ezra Fitch, partner of Abercrombie, at the beginning of the 20th century gave his Fitch prefix to the name of the company and business development, the first to start positioning women’s sportswear along with men’s.
Abercrombie & Fitch Comes To Sicily
Novelty, breakthrough, innovation – effective marketing steps can now be called differently, but the success of products under the Abercrombie & Fitch logo is undeniable. This store was the first in America where it became possible to purchase the then rare, now popular Chinese Mahjong game. Fitch brought her from China, after listening to a client who played Mahjong in China, and for a short time Abercrombie & Fitch Co became the American epicenter of this game. In 1927, an American pilot Charles Lindbergh in equipment from Abercombie & Fitch made the world’s first solo flight across the Atlantic on the route New York – Paris.
Now the style of youth clothing from A&F can be characterized as Casual Luxury – everyday luxury, it is this slogan that is played out in the recognizable advertising campaign of the company, which presents long-legged girls and young people with embossed naked torsos, photographed by the famous Bruce Weber.
In the late 90s, the brand’s popularity grew rapidly, the brand entered the 21st century the sixth most popular among young people, ahead of Levi’s. New trendy clothing lines for youth were launched, including Hollister and Gilly Hicks.
The flagship stores of the brand are located on Fifth Avenue in New York, in central London and Milan.
This fall, October 17, the first outlet of the famous brand in Europe will open. Things from the collections of Abercrombie & Fitch and Hollister never go out of style, branded T-shirts, jeans, sweatshirts are a real mustache for those who are used to dressing fashionably, efficiently and practically. And at Sicilia Outlet Village, all branded products will be offered at affordable discounted prices.
Another reason to take a trip to Sicily is to relax, breathe in the fresh air of the Mediterranean, be inspired by ancient Roman mosaics and Syrian Baroque, taste the delicacies of Italian cuisine with a glass of excellent wine … and bring home a full suitcase of Italian clothes, shoes, … American jeans from Abercrombie & Fitch and a cozy sweatshirt from Hollister. Sicily now has everything and a bit more – the American style of Casual Luxury has become closer.
